Rainer-Regimentsmuseum Salzburg 1924
Current items of interest

A „pre-opening“ of the Rainer regimental museum took place on 8th March 2016, together with the official opening of the „Fürstenzimmer“ (rooms of the Prince Archbishops) within the so-called “Hoher Stock“ of the fortress. These rooms have undergone a beautiful partial renovation lately.

By now most of the Rainer regimental museum is freely accessible to the public.

SOUND RECORDINGS

In accordance with your goals, in 2004 and 2006 Rainermusik produced two sound recordings of historical marches of former Austro-Hungarian regiment music. The third recording was introduced in 2009 with the title “Der Große K.u.k. Zapfenstreich” (The Grand Imperial Tattoo). At the 2012 Gala Concert, the fourth CD followed at last with the title “Gold und Silber” (Gold and Silver). Its highlight is a waltz of the same name by Franz Lehár, arranged by the conductor in the original key, and made especially for this production.

The recordings are available in quality music specialty shops in German-speaking areas or ordered by telephone from Rainermusik: www.rainermusik.at or per e-mail at office@rainermusik.at
